Roots For Groups – is a ‘teach it yourself’ follow up to the 'Effective Small Groups' course.
Just as no plant will grow well without good healthy roots, so no small group will thrive without good healthy group values. It is important for group leaders to have a good understanding of these. Why are values so important? Because they determine our behaviour. Good values produce good behaviour and vice versa. 'Roots For Groups' is designed to help group facilitators really grasp these fundamental values and build them into their lives.
The course consists of 10 practice sessions based on those attending 'learning by doing'. They work through these sessions together as though they were in a 'real' group.
It is recommended that a church wishing to utilise this material set aside 10 evenings to bring together their small group facilitators/leaders to work through the material. A manual is provided (costing £10 each). We are more than happy to assist with the first couple of sessions to help lay the groundwork and set the direction for the rest of the course.
